St.Margarets Episcopal School is now celebrating its annual Animal Awareness Week. Animal Awareness week is about Mrs. Aldine Sillers, the wife of our school’s founder, Father Ernest Sillers. Mrs.Sillers helped to create libraries and encouraged people to read books. She also was an animal lover and especially loved birds.
There will be guest speakers to talk about the animals and the library would like for you to send in pictures of your pets so they can be displayed for all of the students to see in the library. Last but not least, all …

In November we honor our St. Margaret’s founding librarian, Aldine Sillers; and that means honoring all creatures, great and small, that she held dear to her heart. Next month the library will have on display its annual SMES Pet Photo Wall of Fame. So grab a camera and snap a picture of the furry, feathery, scaly or slimy friend(s) in your life. You can send photos via e-mail to rdesa@smes.org or drop off a hard copy to the library. Please be sure to give us your pet’s name. Come by the library in November and see the “other half” of the SMES community!
