The SMES library invites all St. Margaret’s community adults and friends to join us Monday, November 8th for the second Literature Discussion Series book talk. Up for discussion this time is Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. Heralded as Woolf’s greatest novel, it is a vivid portrait of a single day in a woman’s life. When we meet Mrs. Clarissa Dalloway she is preoccupied with the last-minute details of party preparation although she is much more than a perfect society hostess. As she readies her house, she is flooded with remembrances of faraway times. Distracted with the realities of the present, Clarissa re-examines the choices that brought her here.
